JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead review and approval of life, accident, and health policy forms and rate filings
  • Supervise actuarial and policy examiner staff and review their work
  • Direct collection and analysis of statistical data supporting regulatory decisions
  • Present analyses and recommendations to the Deputy Commissioner
  • Full-time, Harrisburg (Dauphin County), part-time telework permitted within PA

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • accident and health insurance rate preparation, analysis or research
  • drafting, reviewing, and examining accident and health insurance policies and forms
  • experience as a Life and Health Policy Examiner Supervisor or Actuary Supervisor

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Two years supervisory experience as a Life & Health Policy Examiner or Actuary Supervisor OR equivalent
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate (ASA) with qualifying experience
  • Extensive experience in accident and health rate preparation, analysis, or policy/form review
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and work in Pennsylvania (telework requires approved PA location)
