HIGHLIGHTS

Entry-level P&C catastrophe modelling role within Chubb's Corporate Catastrophe Solutions (ERM) team in Philadelphia. You will analyse North American commercial insurance exposure to perils (hurricane, earthquake, flood, wildfire), run third-party cat models (e.g. RiskLink), build datasets, monitor PML/aggregation, and communicate quantitative results to underwriting, actuarial, ceded re and senior management. 0–2 years experience; Bachelor's in a quantitative field required.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Analyze North America commercial property catastrophe exposure and monitor PML movement
  • Run third-party catastrophe models (RiskLink experience preferred) and aggregate results
  • Create datasets and manipulate large data using Excel and SQL; Python/VBA/R beneficial
  • Prepare quantitative reports and executive-level summaries for underwriting and actuarial
  • Junior role (0–2 years) based in Philadelphia, PA

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Catastrophe modeling for commercial lines
  • Commercial property portfolio modeling
  • RiskLink or other third-party cat model experience
  • Geospatial analysis with ArcGIS or QGIS
  • Large dataset manipulation using Excel and SQL

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 0–2 years relevant catastrophe modeling experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required
  • Experience with commercial property insurance portfolio modeling
  • Proficient Excel and SQL skills for large datasets
  • Catastrophe model operating skills using third-party software
