Position Summary:

The Associate Financial & Health Actuary designs and refines predictive models, payer analysis tools, and automated reporting systems. This role blends technical analytics with strategic financial thinking, supporting the evolution of value-based care arrangements and operational efficiency. Ideal for an advanced analyst who wants to shape financial strategy through scalable modeling and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and calibrate models for cost trends, shared savings projections, and chronic condition forecasts.
Design self-service Tableau dashboards and analytic tools for contract modeling and ROI analysis.
Enhance ETL processes and implement automated error-checking and reconciliation workflows.
Collaborate with Other analysts to refine and standardize data infrastructure.
Conduct payer margin and scenario-based forecasting for finance leadership.
Support financial decision-making with custom tools and sensitivity analysis.
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues across clinical, financial, and operational datasets.
Translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytical problems, including metric definitions, assumptions, and limitations.
Develop standardized metrics and KPIs to support consistent reporting across finance, operations, and clinical stakeholders.
Conduct ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making, including root-cause analysis and performance variance explanations.
Validate analytical outputs through peer review, reconciliation, and comparison to source systems.
Support continuous improvement of reporting and analytics by identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, or retire low-value analyses.
