Terms and Conditions for Acturhire

1. Who we are

Acturhire is an actuarial job board and set of career tools operated from the United Kingdom. The Service is available at https://www.acturhire.com. Contact: tom@acturhire.com.

2. The Service

The Service may include:

• Browsing actuarial jobs and company information
• Accounts, onboarding, saved jobs, and applications
• Resume upload, reviews, and job-match or tailoring tools
• AI-generated analysis and drafts, as described in section 6
• A Pro subscription with additional features and higher usage limits
• Paid job listings for employers
• Paid or free access for employers and recruiters to candidate profiles and resumes, subject to each candidate's visibility setting — including viewers of a role, a searchable list, introductions, or resume download

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. Job listings come from employers, agencies, and public sources. We do not guarantee that a listing is still open, accurate, or a good fit for you.

3. Accounts

You may sign in with Google or LinkedIn. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure. You must tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

Creating an account may subscribe you to job alerts and product emails. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or your account settings. Transactional messages (for example receipts or security notices) may still be sent.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country and be using the Service for professional job-seeking or hiring, not as a child.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of resumes, profile information, and other content you submit. You grant Acturhire a licence to host, process, display, and share that content as needed to operate the Service — including using AI tools on it, and sending it to AI providers, when you upload a resume or otherwise use the Service, and making it available to employers and recruiters (including those who pay us for access) according to your visibility setting.

You confirm that:

• The content is yours to share, or you have permission to share it
• It is accurate and not misleading
• It does not infringe someone else's rights or contain unlawful material

You are responsible for anything you send to an employer, including AI-suggested edits. Review it before you use it.

5. Visibility and paid access to candidates

You choose whether employers and recruiters can see you. We may charge them for that access. We do not sell candidate lists to data brokers or for advertising.

• Active — they may see your name, email, professional details, and resume
• Anonymous — they may see limited details, and sometimes a redacted resume, without your name or email
• Stealth — you browse and apply privately and are not included in search or paid-access lists

If you use Acturhire as an employer or recruiter, you may use candidate information only for relevant hiring. You may not resell it, add it to an unrelated database, or use it for marketing. Applying to a job may still take a candidate to the employer's own site, where that employer's terms apply.

6. AI

We use AI tools, including large language models run by third parties, to operate the Service. That covers resume reviews, match scores, tailoring, interview prep, and similar features. It also covers processing you have not opened as a separate feature — for example analysing a resume after you upload it, and using your profile and activity to score and match jobs.

By uploading a resume, or by otherwise using the Service, you agree that we may use AI tools on your resume text, profile data, and related job information, and that we may send that content to those providers so they can generate the output. This applies whether or not you use a specific AI feature. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

• AI output is automated. It can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular role.
• It is not professional, legal, or careers advice, and it does not guarantee an interview or a job.
• Free accounts may have usage limits (for example one free analysis credit or a daily cap). Pro removes or raises those limits as described at purchase.
• We may change models or providers without notice.

7. Paid plans and job listings

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout.
• Pro is a subscription (monthly or yearly) and may start with a trial if you are eligible. It renews until you cancel.
• You can cancel in your account. Access usually continues until the end of the paid or trial period.
• Employers may pay a one-off fee to post a job. Listing content must be accurate and for a genuine actuarial role.
• Employers and recruiters may also pay for access to candidate profiles or resumes, as described in section 5.
• If you are unsatisfied, email tom@acturhire.com within 14 days of the payment and we will refund that charge in full, no questions asked. After those 14 days, fees are non-refundable except where consumer law requires otherwise.
• If a payment fails or a subscription is past due, we may suspend paid features.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to post fake jobs or fake credentials
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download the job board or candidate information except as we expressly allow
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or disrupt the Service
• Use AI features to analyse other people's resumes without their permission
• Misuse recruiter access, contact candidates for purposes other than relevant hiring, or resell candidate information

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free AI output, or that using Acturhire will lead to a job. Job data, salaries, company profiles, and scores are estimates or third-party information and may be incomplete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Acturhire is not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost job opportunities, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. That policy is part of how we operate the Service; these Terms cover your contract with us.

12. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or a notice on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. Paid access already purchased is handled as in section 7.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
