HIGHLIGHTS

Senior P&C actuarial role focused on workers' compensation pricing, profitability analytics and predictive modeling. You will lead the Actuarial/Business Intelligence & Analysis team, support pricing and reserving initiatives, and report to the Chief Actuary. Location: High Point, NC (Key Risk, a W.R. Berkley company).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead Actuarial/BI&A team supporting workers' compensation pricing and profitability
  • Develop and oversee predictive models and analytic projects using R/Python/SAS and SQL
  • Accountable for pricing, profitability tracking, and reserving/budgeting analytics
  • Report directly to the Chief Actuary and present to senior management
  • Requires leadership of projects and direct staff management (min. 5 years experience)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • workers compensation pricing
  • actuarial ratemaking methodologies
  • predictive analytics and model deployment
  • working with SQL Server and unstructured data

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience
  • Pursuit of ACAS and/or FCAS designation required
  • Advanced knowledge of actuarial ratemaking methodologies
  • Proficiency with R, Python, SAS and relational databases (SQL Server)
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
