How you'll contribute:
As a Life Pricing Actuarial Intern, you'll be responsible for helping develop pricing models for BHF life insurance products, reporting quarterly financial results for life sales, and lending support to other areas including: In force Analytics, Underwriting, Legal, Valuation, Competition, Reinsurance, etc.
In this internship, you'll get to:
- Work in pricing software to help model various life insurance products.
- Analyze existing and proposed product design and underwriting procedure for financial impacts.
- Review existing actuarial documentation and supplements as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc assumption updates and requests as well as analyze impacts on financials.
We're looking for students who:
- are Sophomores and Juniors studying Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or any quantitative field.
- are actively studying for or taking pre-ASA level exams with the Society of Actuaries.
- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel.
- Positive learning attitude and ability to work with others in a team environment.
