HIGHLIGHTS

Entry-level P&C actuarial analyst role supporting property (home, flood, commercial) underwriting and pricing. You will work on rate indications, large-account pricing, portfolio risk evaluation, reserving, and predictive modeling as part of the Actuarial Student Program. The role is based in the US (Cheshire, CT) and includes a rotational program and exam assistance to support progression toward ACAS/FCAS.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Support rate adequacy analyses and large-account pricing for catastrophe-exposed property
  • Build and apply predictive models and visualize results to inform business decisions
  • Assist with ratemaking, reserving support, and product filing documentation
  • Member of the Actuarial Student Program with rotational assignments
  • Exam assistance provided; expected to be an exam-writing actuarial student

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Actuarial role experience (0-3 years)
  • Exposure to pricing, ratemaking, and reserving
  • Developing predictive models and analytics

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or STEM required
  • 0–3 years of experience in an actuarial role
  • Passage of one or more actuarial exams (exam-writing student expected)
  • Proficiency with Python, R, or SQL and Microsoft Excel
  • Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
