You will work on rate indications, large-account pricing, portfolio risk evaluation, reserving, and predictive modeling as part of the Actuarial Student Program. The role is based in the US (Cheshire, CT) and includes a rotational program and exam assistance to support progression toward ACAS/FCAS.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support rate adequacy analyses and large-account pricing for catastrophe-exposed property
- Build and apply predictive models and visualize results to inform business decisions
- Assist with ratemaking, reserving support, and product filing documentation
- Member of the Actuarial Student Program with rotational assignments
- Exam assistance provided; expected to be an exam-writing actuarial student
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial role experience (0-3 years)
- Exposure to pricing, ratemaking, and reserving
- Developing predictive models and analytics
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or STEM required
- 0–3 years of experience in an actuarial role
- Passage of one or more actuarial exams (exam-writing student expected)
- Proficiency with Python, R, or SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
