JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Perform STAT/GAAP/Tax reserves, DAC and VOBA calculations
  • Develop and maintain valuation and embedded value models
  • Support ALM, financial projections and capital management
  • Prepare materials for auditors, clients, rating agencies and regulators
  • Hybrid role based in Norwalk, CT with minimal travel

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Life insurance and annuity valuation (STAT/GAAP/Tax)
  • DAC and VOBA accounting and modelling
  • Embedded value and financial projection modelling
  • Asset-liability management and capital management
  • Experience analysis and reporting for management

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with life insurance and annuity valuation (STAT/GAAP/Tax)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Proficient in SQL and VBA programming
  • Ability to develop and document actuarial valuation models
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
