JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Support pricing, valuation, experience studies, and financial forecasting for a health plan
  • Build and maintain actuarial models and rate studies; assist with regulatory filings
  • Work with Network Management, Underwriting, Sales, Marketing and Finance
  • Flexible work: Madison, WI HQ hybrid (2 days/week) or remote in approved states
  • Ideal for candidates with 2+ years actuarial experience and 2 SOA exams passed

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • health insurance actuarial experience
  • experience studies and statistical analyses
  • pricing, forecasting, and rate study modelling
  • preparation and coordination of rate filings for Commissioner of Insurance

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, or related field
  • At least 2 SOA exams completed toward the Associate of the Society of Actuaries
  • 2 or more years of actuarial experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and actuarial programming (SQL, R, Python)
  • Experience preparing rate filings and reconciling actuarial reports
