Actuarial Analyst (Health) supporting enterprise products including pricing, reserving, forecasting, risk adjustment and product development at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield in the United States. The role analyzes financial and statistical data, prepares rate filings and reporting, and updates rating model factors. Associate-level position requiring a minimum of three SOA exams and at least one year of actuarial experience. Hands-on use of R, SAS, SQL, Excel and Power BI is expected.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support pricing, reserving, forecasting and risk-adjustment for enterprise health products
- Analyze data, prepare rate filings, and produce reports for enterprise decision-makers
- Work with R, SAS, SQL, Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
- Associate-level role requiring 3 SOA exams and 1+ years actuarial experience
- Participate in the Actuarial Development Program and meet reporting deadlines
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial experience (1+ years)
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with statistical packages (SAS, R) and spreadsheets
- Experience preparing rate filings and actuarial model data retrieval
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum three (3) Society of Actuaries exams completed
- Minimum one (1) year of actuarial experience
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (or 2 SOA exams may substitute)
- Intermediate experience with relational databases, statistical packages, and spreadsheets
