Role Summary

State government P&C actuarial role in the Financial Surveillance Branch. You will review life insurance companies' Principle Based Reserving (PBR) filings, evaluating deterministic and stochastic reserve techniques to ensure compliance with PBR standards. This hybrid position reports to the Chief Systems Actuary in Long Beach, CA.

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of actuarial & statistical modeling methods
  • Familiarity with Principle Based Reserving (PBR)
  • Bachelor's degree & relevant coursework required
  • Exam list eligibility or transfer eligibility needed
  • Must attach degree/transcripts and resume
