Entry-level P&C actuarial analyst role in Waltham, Massachusetts, supporting pricing and business intelligence for small business and General Liability insurance. You’ll build rate indication tools, prepare state filing materials, monitor historical performance, and turn analysis into pricing recommendations. The role is hybrid and supports candidates pursuing CAS accreditation, with a stated base salary range of $75,000-$107,000.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • BA/BS in actuarial science, statistics, or quantitative discipline
  • 1+ years of actuarial experience/internship OR minimum of 2 CAS exams
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel) and SQL
  • Experience with AI tools and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with R or Python
