Entry-level actuarial student rotation opportunity at Pacific Life, with placements in Newport Beach, Omaha, or Charlotte and a four-days-in-office hybrid schedule. The program develops broad actuarial experience across insurance products, functions, and technologies while supporting progress toward ASA/FSA credentials through rotations, study benefits, and exam incentives.

Strongly preferred

  • Progress toward actuarial credentials with strong commitment to achieving ASA/FSA designation
  • Relevant actuarial experience with solid foundation in actuarial and financial concepts
  • Experience working with actuarial models, financial analysis, or quantitative tools and processes

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated drive toward achieving the FSA designation
  • Ability to connect technical analysis and emerging trends to financial and business impacts
  • Strong technical expertise combined with sound judgment around reasonability and materiality
  • Ownership of end-to-end processes, with independence to move work forward with limited guidance
  • Continuous-improvement mindset, including identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and process enhancement
  • Ability to constructively challenge existing approaches and recommend priorities or alternative solutions
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to translate complex analysis into clear messages and presentations
  • Adaptability and effectiveness when priorities change
