Entry-level health actuarial analyst supporting a health plan Financial Analysis team in Orange, CA. You will assist with monthly IBNR reserve estimates, semi-annual CDPS risk score calculations, and annual rate development templates, plus claims data reconciliations. Role is partial-telework within California with in-office attendance three days a week and the first week of each month in-office daily.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support monthly IBNR reserve estimation and reporting
- Assist with semi-annual CDPS risk score and capitation rate impact
- Reconcile claims (Facets reports) with the data warehouse
- Partial telework in California; in-office Tue/Wed/Thu and first week each month
- Entry-level role requiring 1+ year spreadsheet and database experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Experience with spreadsheets and databases
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, finance, or related field required
- Minimum 1 year experience with spreadsheets and databases required
- Ability to work in Orange, CA office and accept required in-office schedule
- Must be able to work within the State of California if telework is approved
