P&C actuarial analyst supporting US Specialty lines (Excess Casualty, Specialty Property, Financial and Professional Lines) in Chicago. You'll perform pricing and profitability analyses, build/improve predictive pricing models, and partner with underwriting on account-level evaluations. Associate-level role for candidates with exam progression and strong analytics skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support pricing for US Specialty lines including Excess Casualty and Specialty Property
- Perform profitability, segmentation, and account-level pricing evaluations
- Build and enhance predictive pricing models and improve data processes
- Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio performance reports
- Based in Chicago or New York office; ideal for candidates with 2+ CAS exams
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Loss development and exposure rating
- Actuarial internship experience at a carrier, broker, or consultancy
- Statistical modeling and predictive analytics
- Experience with US specialty commercial lines pricing
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 Exams toward CAS qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or similar
- Actuarial or related internship experience at a carrier, broker, or consultancy
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with SQL, VBA, or R/Python
- Experience with statistical modeling and predictive analytics
