Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Actuarial Analyst supporting US Specialty P&C pricing (Excess Casualty, Specialty Property, Financial & Professional Lines) based in Chicago. You will support pricing actuaries with profitability analyses, predictive modeling, and reporting while partnering with underwriting on account-level pricing and portfolio strategy. The role requires at least two CAS exams and strong data/coding skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Actuarial pricing support for US Specialty P&C lines (Excess Casualty, Specialty Property, Financial/Professional Lines)
Run profitability, segmentation analyses and portfolio performance reporting
Develop predictive models and improve technical pricing models and data pipelines
Collaborate directly with underwriting on account-level pricing and strategy
Advanced Excel plus SQL, VBA, or R/Python expected

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Actuarial internship at an insurance carrier, broker, or consultancy
Excess Casualty pricing
Specialty Property pricing
Understanding of loss development and exposure rating

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or similar technical field
At least 2 CAS exams passed toward qualification
Actuarial or related internship experience at a carrier, broker, or consultancy
Advanced Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SQL, VBA, or R/Python
Experience with statistical modeling and predictive analytics
