JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Entry-level actuarial analyst focused on life reserving and valuation
- Perform statutory, GAAP and tax reserving and asset adequacy analyses
- Gather and analyse mortality, morbidity, lapse and persistency experience
- Work onsite in Phoenix, AZ reporting to the FP&A Manager
- Must be pursuing SOA actuarial exams and proficient in Excel
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Reserving on Statutory, GAAP, and Tax basis
- Experience studies for mortality, morbidity, lapse and persistency
- Asset adequacy analyses and gross premium valuation experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and actuarial software (MG-ALFA)
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems (SAP) and policy systems
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, accounting, or finance
- Active pursuit of Society of Actuaries exams (exam-writing student)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with actuarial software MG-ALFA and SAP is required
- Ability to multitask and work under extreme pressure
