P&C actuarial analyst role focused on commercial lines pricing and state rate filings in New York City. You'll perform ratemaking, ISO rate impact and loss trend analyses, and integrate actuarial results using Python, SQL, VBA and AI/PowerBI tools. Hybrid role (predominantly remote) with an in-office requirement in NYC one day per week.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Price commercial lines: Commercial Property, General Liability, Workers Comp, Commercial Auto
- Support state rate filings and ISO circular impact analyses
- Use Python, SQL and Excel VBA for analyses and update factors in SQL Server
- Integrate AI and PowerBI to visualize results for underwriters and senior management
- Predominantly remote with in-office requirement in NYC every Wednesday

- Commercial Property pricing and ratemaking
- General Liability pricing and ratemaking
- Workers Compensation pricing and ratemaking
- Commercial Auto pricing and ratemaking
- ISO circular rate impact analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of professional actuarial experience
- At least 3 passed actuarial exams and working toward ACAS/FCAS
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics or related field
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel VBA required
- Ability to be in the NYC office every Wednesday
