Role type

Structured actuarial development programme

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role because rotations and leadership development take priority over deep ownership of one model.

Entry-level Life actuarial analyst role in MassMutual’s Actuarial Leadership Development Program, based in Boston or Springfield, Massachusetts. You’ll rotate through business lines and actuarial functions while building technical and industry knowledge, completing SOA exams, and developing toward future leadership roles.

Requirements

Must have

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance, Economics or related major)
  • Completion of 1 or more actuarial exams
  • Commitment to pursue Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries
  • Previous experience as a MassMutual Actuarial Intern
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstration of MassMutual’s Winning Ways (integrity, customer focus, collaboration, etc.)
