OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data collection, quantitative and qualitative review
  • Assist with and become proficient in the development, maintenance, and peer review of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, loss forecasting, and pro forma financial modeling
  • Support the preparation of actuarial reports, presentations, and documentation
  • Contribute to improvements in internal actuarial technical capabilities with the evolution of technology
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives
  • Assist in the automation and improvement of existing processes and methodologies
  • New business and proposal support
  • Preparing deliverables and providing support for client meetings
  • Assisting with special projects and contributing as required
  • Travel to Boston for at least one in-person meeting annually with other Spring staff
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Progress in being able to pass the required actuarial exams for Associateship in the SoA/CAS, with at least two exams passed in the last two years
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of responsiveness and dependability
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proven research capability and technical writing skills

Salary range is $75K to $105K per year.
