The Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintaining actuarial functions relating to product development, reserve valuation, financial reporting, forecast cash flow testing, and reinsurance.
Responsibilities
Pricing and Product Development:
- Updates pricing models using MG-ALFA & Slope actuarial software.
- Validates pricing assumptions and ensure alignment with experience studies and best practices.
- Test rate structures and results for reasonableness and compliance.
- Maintains reports/analysis for management review.
- Build and Maintain Power BI dashboards to streamline actuarial analysis
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline actuarial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the delivery and accuracy of inforce illustrations and fulfill other internal stakeholder requests efficiently.
- Contribute to building and maintaining an internal AI-powered knowledge base to enhance team resilience and efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of products on our policy admin system and reinsurance transactions on TAI
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries exam.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Ability to:
- Identify improvements and enhance routine functions such as financial reporting.
- Program and test in Access and SQL Server database environments.
- Analyze results for reasonableness.
- Learn company operations, systems and actuarial methodologies quickly.
