Benefits consulting analyst

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role—the breadth of benefit programs and vendor work matters more than building standalone models.

Entry-level Health & Group Benefits actuarial consulting role in New York City, with hybrid work available in several Milliman offices. You’ll support employee and retiree benefits programs through pricing, claims reserving, valuation, experience studies, financial analysis, and client deliverables.

Requirements

Must have

  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, or related field
  • A minimum of one SOA exam passed
  • 0-2 years of experience as an Actuarial Analyst
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Interest or experience in health & welfare employee benefits programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
