Entry-level Life actuarial analyst role in Kansas City, Missouri, supporting pricing, product development, valuation, and regulatory work across individual life and annuity products. You will contribute to experience studies, actuarial models, cash flow testing, reserve calculations, filings, and automation while progressing toward SOA credentials.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field

Strongly preferred

Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam
Strong analytical, conceptual-thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Nice to have

Experience with actuarial software (e.g. AXIS, Prophet) and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
Internship or prior experience in life insurance or actuarial work
Familiarity with life insurance products and regulatory environment
Exposure to valuation principles and financial reporting frameworks (e.g., GAAP, statutory)
