HIGHLIGHTS

Entry-level health actuarial analyst supporting rate reviews, financial projections, trend analysis, and product development for a large not-for-profit health plan in Massachusetts/US. You'll work with underwriting, contracting, sales and medical management and use relational databases, spreadsheets and statistical modeling tools. Position is eligible for the Actuarial Student Program with rotations and support toward SOA Fellowship.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Perform financial planning, trend analysis and product development work
  • Use relational databases, data warehouses, Excel and statistical packages
  • Eligible for Actuarial Student Program with rotations and SOA Fellowship support
  • Entry-level role with 1–3 years' analytic experience, based in MA (US)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Health insurance industry familiarity
  • Relational databases and data warehouse experience
  • Statistical modeling and spreadsheet analysis

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree required
  • 1–3 actuarial exams completed
  • 1–3 years of analytic work experience
  • Experience with relational databases, data warehouses and statistical modeling
  • Able to follow department standards and receive regular management oversight
