Associate-level P&C actuarial analyst (near-ACAS) supporting pricing, modeling, catastrophe risk, and reserving. You will build and interpret models (GLM/GBM, catastrophe models), translate business problems into analyses, and present findings to stakeholders and executive leadership. Role is remote-eligible within the continental U.S., with on-site requirements for those living within 60 miles of a USAA office (Phoenix, AZ).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Associate-level P&C actuarial analyst (near-ACAS) working on pricing, reserving and catastrophe risk
- Run and interpret catastrophe models and GLM/GBM models; perform trend and rate-level analysis
- Use Python, R, SQL, SAS or BI tools for data analysis and automation
- Remote-eligible in continental U.S.; if within 60 miles of an office, expected 4 days/week onsite
- Requires ~4 years actuarial/analytical experience and near-ACAS exam standing
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial or analytical business experience (4 years)
- Catastrophe modeling and interpretation
- GLM/GBM modelling algorithms basic understanding
- Model Risk Management and Governance knowledge
- Data analysis using Python, R, SQL, SAS or BI tools
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years of actuarial or analytical business experience
- No more than 2 CAS exams away from ACAS and all VEEs completed
- Intermediate proficiency with Python, R, SQL, SAS, or BI tools
- Experience with catastrophe modeling and GLM/GBM basics
- Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
