Associate-level Health actuarial analyst focused on cost-of-care and utilization analysis. You will complete complex studies, design special projects, build reports from large claims datasets, and present findings to market and project leadership. Hybrid role based in Norfolk, VA (1–2 days/week in office).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Analyze cost of care and utilization at the claim level
- Design and complete special actuarial projects and studies
- Develop and maintain reporting for market and project leadership
- Work with large claims datasets using SQL, Python, R, or SAS
- Hybrid: 1–2 days per week in office (Norfolk, VA)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Healthcare cost and utilization analysis
- Working with large administrative claims datasets
- SQL, Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation
- Reporting with Power BI or Tableau
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree required
- Minimum of 3 SOA or CAS actuarial exams passed
- At least 1 year of related actuarial experience
- Ability to be on-site 1–2 days/week and reside within commuting distance
