Core work includes workers' compensation rate indications, rate filing support, quarterly reserves and capital model updates. Role is intermediate (2+ years) and requires at least three CAS exams. Location: United States.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support pricing, reserving, reinsurance analysis, and forecasting for P&C products
- Prepare rate indications and lead rate review meetings for workers' compensation
- Compile rate filing support and respond to state department inquiries
- Update pricing/reserving tools and assist with the capital model
- Use SQL and/or R/Python and strong Excel skills to combine data and monitor predictive models
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Workers compensation rate filing and ratemaking
- Loss reserving and statutory schedules (Schedule P, Schedule X)
- Reinsurance analysis and pricing
- Capital model updating and forecasting
- Financial data calls and bureau reporting
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of actuarial experience
- Successful completion of at least 3 CAS exams
- Bachelor’s degree required (actuarial science, math, or related)
- Experience with rate filings and statutory schedules (Schedule P, Schedule X)
