Role Summary

Role type

Quarterly reserving and reporting role

Closer to a reserving reporting-cycle role than a modelling-heavy or capital-strategy position because recurring close deadlines define the operating rhythm.

Associate-level P&C reserving role focused on workers' compensation for a US-based, fully remote team. You will perform quarterly and annual loss reserve analyses, support financial reporting and regulatory filings, and partner with Finance, Accounting, Claims, and auditors. The role requires at least two years of P&C actuarial experience; four or more ACAS/FCAS exams are strongly preferred.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum 2 years of actuarial experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
  • Able to work without sponsorship in the United States

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Business
  • Reserving experience
  • Successful completion of four or more exams toward ACAS/FCAS
  • Familiarity with ResQ or a comparable commercial reserving platform
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with data that feeds into financial statements
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Current knowledge of or capacity to learn SQL, VBA, R, Python, and AI tools
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and communicating clearly to management
  • Works well in a team-oriented collaborative environment with effective communication skills

Nice to have

  • Prior experience collaborating with Finance/Accounting during a quarterly or month-end close process
