Responsible for pricing, underwriting support, reserving (IBNR) and forecasting, model development, and partnering with business stakeholders. Senior-level role based in Newark, NJ with remote work allowed for several nearby states.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Price and reserve Specific & Aggregate Stop Loss and Level Funded business
- Develop pricing models, support rate filings and benefit adjustment analyses
- Perform trend analysis, forecasting and IBNR reserving
- Work remotely (must live in NJ, NY, PA, CT or DE); senior analyst level
- ASA preferred; requires 4+ years actuarial/statistics experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- stop loss pricing and reserving
- level-funded group pricing
- health insurance actuarial experience
- IBNR reserving and forecasting
- knowledge of the reinsurance industry
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required (math/stats/actuarial preferred)
- Requires 4+ years of actuarial and/or statistics experience
- Excellent knowledge of Stop Loss and Level Funded product features
- Expert knowledge of Excel
- Experience with SAS or other programming language
