Entry-level P&C actuarial analyst role with the North Carolina Department of Insurance in Wake County, NC. You’ll support the Chief Actuary and Company Services Group by reviewing rate, rule, and policy filings, conducting special studies, and analyzing rate and reserve data. The role is hybrid, with up to one remote day per week after orientation.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, business, or closely related field

Strongly preferred

Basic knowledge of North Carolina laws and regulations as they relate to actuarial practice
Ability to prepare written reports that are clear, concise, appropriate for intended audience and well documented
Basic project management skills to work as a team to develop new processes and procedures
Expected to pursue membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS)
