P&C actuarial analyst role on Nationwide’s Pet business unit focused on pricing, valuation, and product work. You will build and maintain actuarial models, analyze data to inform pricing and reserving, and partner with cross-functional teams. Associate-level role based in the US with flexible/remote hiring across the lower 48 states.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Price and model pet insurance products within Nationwide’s P&C business
- Build and maintain actuarial pricing and valuation models
- Analyze data and produce actionable insights for leadership
- Associate-level role (1–3 years experience) in a rotational actuarial program
- Flexible/remote hiring across the contiguous US
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C insurance experience
- Pet insurance pricing
- Programming in R, Python, or SQL
- Microsoft Office including VBA
- Exam progress toward ACAS
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years of actuarial experience (ideally P&C)
- Exam progress toward ACAS (has passed one or more actuarial exams)
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, or related field
- Technical skills: R, Python, SQL and Microsoft Office including VBA
- Eligible to work in the US without employer-sponsored authorization
