Health-focused actuarial analyst role on Optum's Trend Analytics Forecasting & Insights team in Eden Prairie, MN. You'll build trend forecast models, analyze healthcare claims and utilization data for ACA marketplace and Medicare work, and deliver client-ready financial forecasts. Entry-level analyst expected to have passed one or more actuarial exams and experience with SAS/SQL and Excel.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Build and maintain trend forecast and actuarial models for ACA marketplace work
- Analyze complex healthcare claims and utilization data to identify cost drivers
- Create client-ready deliverables and participate in client communications
- Work onsite in Eden Prairie, MN at the Optum office
- Hands-on use of MS Excel and SAS and/or SQL
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- ACA marketplace trend forecasting
- Healthcare claims data analysis
- Financial forecasting and actuarial modelling
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Passed one or more actuarial exams (minimum 1)
- Experience in an actuarial role (full-time or internship)
- Proficiency with MS Excel and experience with SAS and/or SQL
- Located in or willing to relocate to Minnesota and work in Eden Prairie office
