You will build analytics, maintain the health actuarial data warehouse, and support rate filings and product development under senior actuarial review. Position is an individual contributor working primarily independently on moderately complex projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support health pricing, assumption setting, and experience studies
- Prepare rate filing exhibits and respond to regulatory objections
- Maintain and validate the health actuarial data warehouse
- Use SQL/SAS/Python/R/VBA and Excel for modeling and analytics
- Hybrid role — WFH Mon & Fri, in-office Tue–Thu in McKinney, TX
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Health insurance pricing and product rating
- Experience studies for claims, persistency, and morbidity
- Rate filing support and regulatory exhibit preparation
- Data collection, cleaning, and health actuarial data warehousing
- Financial and trend analytics for health products
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Broad knowledge of health insurance products and pricing methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Competency in SQL, SAS, Python, R, VBA, or similar programming
- Experience with data cleaning, validation, and data architecture
- Ability to work in McKinney, TX hybrid schedule (Tue–Thu in office)
