Associate-level life actuarial role on Protective's Actuarial Life Projections team in Birmingham, AL. You will perform in-force projections, embedded value analysis, cash flow testing, and support capital and valuation work under Statutory and US GAAP. The role expects 3–4 years of actuarial experience and familiarity with actuarial modeling systems (PolySystems a plus) and SQL/visual analytics tools.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Perform projections for embedded value, annual cash flow testing, and RBC
- Analyze period-over-period product and company-level results and document findings
- Support model validation, stochastic modelling, and dynamic assumptions
- Work with PolySystems (preferred), SQL, and Power BI/Tableau for analytics
- Associate-level role (near-ASA or ASA preferred) in Birmingham, AL
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Asset/liability modelling and cash flow testing
- Embedded value analysis including value of new business
- Statutory and U.S. GAAP valuation methodologies
- Experience with projection model validation
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 3–4 years of actuarial experience in ALM, pricing, or financial reporting
- Knowledge of Statutory and U.S. GAAP valuation methodologies
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
