HIGHLIGHTS

P&C reserving role focused on General Liability and Umbrella within Nationwide’s Commercial Lines and NWAG organization. You will lead reserve analyses (quarterly and ad hoc), apply stochastic and frequency-severity methods, and partner with pricing, underwriting, claims and finance. Associate-level position based in Columbus, OH with flexible remote staffing options.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lead reserve analyses for General Liability and Umbrella at line, segment, and program levels
Apply stochastic reserving, frequency-severity models, tail-factor and trend analyses
Translate technical findings for senior leadership, claims, pricing and finance
Collaborate with Pricing, Underwriting and Product on reserve and rate connectivity
Flexible staffing; role can be located in Columbus, OH or remotely within lower 48 states

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

General Liability reserving
Umbrella and excess reserving
Triangular reserving methods
Stochastic reserving and frequency-severity modelling

KEY REQUIREMENTS

ACAS credential (generally attained) with progress toward FCAS
5+ years of P&C actuarial reserving experience (General Liability/Umbrella)
Demonstrated experience with triangular reserving methods
Proficiency with Excel, SQL, R, Python, SAS or similar tools
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored authorization
