Assist with encounter data validation, rate development, pricing exhibits and reserve-related analyses, and help migrate SAS workflows to Databricks. Hybrid internship for bachelor’s students who have passed at least one actuarial exam.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Support Health actuarial pricing, rate filings, and claims liability analyses
- Validate encounter data and provide RUW data to the Pricing Data team
- Assist with SAS to Databricks conversion and monthly model release tasks
- Hybrid internship based in Oakland (One Kaiser Plaza) with remote work
- Suitable for bachelor’s students who have passed at least one actuarial exam
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Pass at least one actuarial exam
- Encounter data validation
- SAS to Databricks conversion
- Preparation of rating exhibits and rate filing support
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or recent graduate
- Pass at least one actuarial exam
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
