Closer to a regulatory compliance role than a pure underwriting partner because DOI filings and objection responses are central to the work.

Senior P&C actuarial consulting role in San Antonio, Texas, focused on personal-lines pricing and state filings. You'll develop rates, analyze trends, prepare DOI documentation, respond to objections, and use Python or SQL for actuarial analysis.

Requirements

Must have

  • ACAS or FCAS designation
  • P&C insurance experience

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 4 to 10+ years of actuarial experience
  • Competency with actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, Python, SQL

Nice to have

  • State filing experience with DOI for personal lines
