Health actuarial consultant supporting UnitedHealth Group's Value-Based Care business. You will build and maintain actuarial models to forecast and track revenue and claim performance for VBC arrangements, support Medicare Advantage and payer negotiations, and communicate results to internal stakeholders. Associate-level role based in Eden Prairie, MN with a hybrid schedule (four days in office) or remote within the U.S.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Build and maintain actuarial models for forecasting VBC revenue and claims
- Analyze payer-specific utilization and profitability drivers for VBC contracts
- Prepare annual revenue and claim forecasts and summary exhibits
- Hybrid role – four in-office days per week; Eden Prairie, MN preferred
- Ideal for actuarial students with 3+ exams and 4+ years’ corporate experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- On actuarial exam track with 3+ exams passed
- Experience collecting, analyzing and summarizing quantitative data
- Expertise working with formulas, calculations and charts in MS Excel
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field
- On the actuarial exam track with 3+ actuarial exams passed
- 4+ years of corporate experience collecting and analyzing quantitative data
- Advanced proficiency with formulas, charts and calculations in MS Excel
