Role type

Specialist in a large-carrier pricing function

Closer to a large-carrier specialist than an underwriting partner because the scope is concentrated in Part D pricing and forecasting rather than live deal negotiation.

Associate-level Health actuarial pricing role in UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare & Retirement business, supporting Medicare Part D products from a remote U.S. location. You’ll develop pricing and forecasting models, support assumption processes and bid submissions, and analyze product and financial performance using Excel and SQL, Python, R, or SAS.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 4+ years of actuarial work experience
  • Progress toward actuarial designation (ASA track), having passed 4+ exams
  • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL, Python, R, or SAS
  • Proven ability to balance multiple workstreams and demonstrate successful outcomes

Nice to have

  • Beginner to intermediate skills in Snowflake
