JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop and run quarterly medical expense reporting and forecasting
- Analyze large healthcare claims datasets to identify cost trends
- Build and maintain actuarial models using standard trend methods
- Use Excel (VBA), SAS and SQL for data manipulation and automation
- Remote role (U.S. remote; MN/DC hires have in-office requirement)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Medical expense reporting and forecasting
- Analyzing large healthcare claims datasets
- Familiarity with standard actuarial trend methods
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- On ASA track with 3+ actuarial exams passed
- 4+ years of actuarial experience
- 4+ years analyzing large claims datasets
- Proficiency with Excel (VBA), SAS, and SQL
