Remote Health actuarial internship supporting Avalon’s Corporate Actuarial Department, with quarterly travel to Tampa, Florida. You’ll assist with savings monitoring, claims and PMPM analysis, reconciliations, financial reporting, and IBNR calculations while building practical actuarial experience.

Requirements

Must have

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Strongly preferred

Pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science or related field
Passed a minimum of one actuarial exam
On track to take additional actuarial exams towards ASA designation
