JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead predictive modeling and advanced analytics for P&C pricing
- Manage and mentor a team of data scientists and actuarial analytics staff
- Serve as enterprise Product Owner for Akur8 and govern model use
- Develop Akur8-ready datasets from AAIS databases and ensure data integrity
- Remote-first role (minimal travel up to 5%) with strategic cross-functional work
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C predictive modeling and pricing
- Akur8 implementation and product ownership
- Creating modeling-ready datasets from policy/claims data
- Supporting state filing materials for pricing use-cases
- Leading actuarial analytics teams and strategic initiatives
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 7–10 years of insurance experience focused on actuarial analytics or pricing
- Experience in the property & casualty insurance industry
- Demonstrated people management and strategic leadership experience
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, R, Python and Excel/VBA; Akur8 experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
