Senior Life actuarial development role in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, supporting individual life protection products. You’ll lead complex actuarial models and software solutions, apply advanced life-contingency and tax calculations, manage large datasets, and advise clients. This is an office-based position with substantial .NET programming, testing, and technical leadership.
Requirements
Must have
6+ years in actuarial development, modeling, or software development with complex modeling projects
Strongly preferred
Deep understanding of actuarial principles and advanced modeling techniques
Ability to develop and optimize complex algorithms and integrate multiple software tools and systems
Ability to translate actuarial requirements into technical solutions
Proven track record of delivering high-quality actuarial solutions on time and within budget
Extensive experience with actuarial software tools and platforms
Understanding of changes in insurance industry and regulation to advise clients
Familiarity with state insurance department regulations and NAIC Model Regulations
Experience with tax calculations per IRC 7702 and 7702A and policy value implications
Expert knowledge using first principles or commutation functions for actuarial calculations (e.g., Net Single Premium)
Proven experience in .Net programming
Experience with bisection and root solve methods
Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Advanced expertise in designing and implementing testing strategies for complex actuarial models
