JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Program expects at least one SOA exam passed and commitment to Fellowship
  • Based in Columbia, SC within Unum's Actuarial Development Program

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Actuarial-based internship or equivalent experience
  • Experience analysis and valuation support
  • Pricing tool maintenance and underwriting support
  • Reserve factor development and experience studies
  • Statutory and financial reporting support

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required with GPA 3.2 or above
  • Passed at least one Society of Actuaries exam
  • 0–1 years of actuarial or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 months hands-on statistical programming (SAS, MatLab, Minitab) or heavy Excel
  • Commitment to pursue actuarial credentials to Fellowship
