JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead pricing and rate development for the Commercial health line
- Oversee reserving: monthly unpaid claims estimates and premium deficiency
- Prepare and sign rate filings, actuarial certifications, and opinions
- Manage and develop a team of actuarial students, actuaries, and analysts
- Onsite role in Portland, OR with travel ~5% of the time
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial experience (6+ years)
- Management experience (3+ years)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- At least 6 years of actuarial experience
- At least 3 years of people management experience
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and active AAA membership
- Baccalaureate degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field
- Experience signing actuarial certifications and regulatory filings
