You will lead commercial pricing, prepare rate filings and actuarial opinions, and direct reserving and budgeting. The role manages a team of actuaries and analysts and partners with underwriting, product, sales, and finance.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead actuarial services for PacificSource's Commercial health line
- Develop premium rates, pricing models, and prepare rate filings
- Oversee reserving, unpaid claim estimates, and premium deficiency reserve
- Manage and develop a team of actuarial students, credentialed actuaries, and analysts
- Based in Helena, MT; travel approximately 5% of the time
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Commercial health pricing and reserving
- Actuarial team leadership and management
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- At least 6 years of actuarial experience
- At least 3 years of management experience
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and active American Academy of Actuaries membership required
- Ability to sign actuarial certifications and statements of actuarial opinion
