JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead Commercial actuarial team responsible for pricing and reserving
- Develop premium rates, maintain pricing models, and prepare rate filings
- Oversee monthly unpaid claim estimates, risk adjustment, and premium deficiency reserve
- Sign actuarial certifications and statements of opinion for filings
- Onsite in Boise, ID; travel ~5% (Director-level, FSA required)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Commercial health pricing
- Commercial reserving and unpaid claims estimation
- Preparing rate filings and signing actuarial certifications
- Budget forecasting for commercial lines
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of actuarial experience
- 3+ years of management experience
- Enrolled Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and active AAA membership
- Baccalaureate degree in math, statistics, actuarial science, or related field
- Ability to prepare and sign actuarial certifications and supporting exhibits
