Role Summary

Director-level Life actuarial role focused on Universal Life valuation in Birmingham, AL. Lead Statutory, GAAP, and Tax reserve preparation, model governance, SOX control execution, and quarterly valuation and earnings analysis. Manage and mentor valuation staff while partnering with Finance, ALM, Risk, and other actuarial teams.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • ASA designation required (FSA preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years as a credentialed actuary within the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of Statutory, GAAP, and Tax valuation principles
  • Experience with actuarial modeling for life insurance products; PolySystems preferred
