Role Summary

Role type

Modelling-heavy actuarial lead

Closer to a modelling-heavy IC role than a pricing-underwriting partner because forecast methodology and validation, not live deal support, define the remit.

Director-level P&C actuarial forecasting role, remote in the USA, focused on warranty, mobile device protection, and specialty insurance products. You will improve claims forecasts, loss estimates, reserving, pricing, and profitability analysis while partnering with finance, supply chain, data science, technology, and senior leadership.

Must have

  • Practical experience in actuarial modeling, claims forecasting, pricing, reserving, and applying projections to business planning

Strongly preferred

  • 12-15+ years of actuarial experience with strong leadership capabilities
  • Extensive experience across Warranty Programs, Extended Warranty, Service Contracts, and Mobile Device Protection
  • Strong expertise in Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Insurance

  • Experience supporting warranty claims forecasting, financial projections, and portfolio performance management
  • Proven ability to partner directly with executive leadership and provide strategic actuarial recommendations
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Actuarial, Finance, Claims, Underwriting, Supply Chain, and Technology teams
  • Strong experience in actuarial modeling, claims frequency and severity analysis, loss ratio projections, and claims cost estimation
  • Hands-on experience building and reviewing actuarial models using historical claims experience, exposure data, product mix, and cost assumptions
  • Experience with actuarial and analytical tools
  • Exposure to statistical modeling and AI/ML techniques applied to claims forecasting and loss estimation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline
