P&C reserving role on the Global Specialty US Actuarial team supporting Financial Lines (D&O, EPL, Cyber, E&O), Bond, and Credit & Political Risk. You’ll perform reserve studies, build reserving diagnostics and monitoring tools, and partner with Claims and Reserving. Hybrid role based in Hartford, CT (3 days/week).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Perform reserve studies and advise management on reserving decisions
- Develop monitoring tools and reserving diagnostics using R/SQL
- Work on Global Specialty Financial Lines, Bond, and Credit & Political Risk
- Hybrid role — expected in-office Tue–Thu (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; or Charlotte, NC)
- Ideal for candidates with 4+ years P&C reserving experience and strong Excel skills
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Property and Casualty actuarial experience
- Reserving techniques and reserve studies
- Experience with Financial Lines (D&O, EPL, Cyber, E&O)
- Developing monitoring tools and reserving diagnostics
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience
- High proficiency in Excel is required
- Knowledge of actuarial reserving techniques and reserve studies
- Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field
